Mayor Politis Marks 12 Years of Service

Peter Politis stepped into his last council meeting this week as Cochrane's mayor, bringing to a close 12 years of service across two terms leading our town. At the meeting, Mayor Politis took time to reflect on his time in office—a span that's seen plenty of changes in our community. Before long, a new council will be sworn in on November 16, and Sylvie Charron-Lemieux will take over as Cochrane's next mayor, making history as our first elected female mayor. It's a moment of transition for Cochrane, and a chance to say thanks for the steady hand that's guided us through the last dozen years.
