Cochrane opened on August 15, 2026. The newest Sam's Grill, and one of the furthest north. Same promise as the first store back in 2011: homemade food, made fresh every day, served warm to everyone at the table. Hand-pressed fresh beef, fries cut fresh, real Québec curds.

Every Sam's Grill is run by the family that owns it — ours is no different. The Meet family has been behind the counter in Cochrane since 2026, pressing the patties, learning the regulars' names, and arguing (gently) about whether the pickle poutine is the best thing on the board. Come decide for yourself. I'd rather be in the kitchen than anywhere else in the building. Ask anyone who works here. Nothing goes out that I wouldn't put in front of my own family. That's not a slogan, it's just the rule.

Meet Meet

Meet has spent his working life in kitchens and on the floor, and he brings that experience to Sam's Grill Cochrane. A local owner running a local counter, he's passionate about great cooking and even more passionate about looking after guests, which is why so many of them come back.

Everything was okay. Pretty much on par with the Sam's Grill we went to in hearst, so that's a good thing, consistency is key. The only different things I tried was the plain fries and the pulled Pork on a bun. The fries were lacking any type of seasoning and because of that they weren't my favorite, and the pulled Pork was okay, the flavor wasn't too bad, there just wasn't much too it, it was a little lack luster for me, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. But still worth a visit, make sure to stop in and give them a taste, and judge for yourself!
