A Million Dollar Boost for Cochrane Farmland

Great news for the farmers who feed us all. The Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance just landed $1 million to get to work on an 1,800-acre tile-drainage project right here in the Timiskaming–Cochrane region. What's that mean? Better drainage means healthier soil, more land we can farm, and longer growing seasons. More time for crops to thrive, even as autumn rolls in and winter waits just around the corner. It's the kind of investment that helps our farms stay strong and keeps our community fed. When farmers do well, we all do well. Down at Sam's Grill, we see it every day—the food on our tables comes from good land and hardworking people. Here's to investing in both.
